I’ve been travelling the globe for over a decade from my home countries of Australia and New Zealand (yes, I call both home, but my accent still screams Kiwi!).

What started as a fascination of the world in Tourism class at high school, traversed into a career as a travel agent, then onto Whistler, Canada for a working holiday, to a few more career changes in my mid to late 20's before landing in a role in Learning & Development. Even though I love my job, my love of travel hasn't gone anywhere!

“Settling” into a career though hasn’t stopped me from travelling the world every chance I can get - over the past 7+ years I’ve had multiple overseas jaunts, and countless long weekends away in both Australia and New Zealand. Even living in Melbourne during COVID (262 days of lockdown, making us the world's "most locked-down city"), I managed to squeeze in some adventures close to home whenever our restrictions lifted periodically.

As of January 2024, I have been luckily enough to take a 12-month career break from my work. It's taken me a few months into my trip to decide to reinvigorate my passion for writing and create this travel blog, and help to share my tips and advice for the destinations I have been. Travel blogs have been invaluable in my travel planning, and I hope mine can do the same!

Follow along for tips on city breaks, hiking, and exploring the great outdoors (and yes, I count wineries as the great outdoors)!
